Sitio Morro Do Balaio

The room didn’t match the photos in the app, and it wasn’t clear whether we could choose a room with or without a bathtub. On a rainy day, water leaked into the room and the shower had no hot water, so we had to take cold showers. When we complained, we were told that this was “normal” in rainy weather, but nobody had mentioned it beforehand. The chalet also has no restaurant, so we had to bring our own food, and there weren’t even any cutlery available. I’d asked before we arrived if they could arrange a simple surprise in the room, like petals, and offered to pay extra, but they said they couldn’t without explaining why. Check-out at 10 a.m. was inconvenient too, since nearby restaurants only open around 11:30. We were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, so the whole stay was disappointing. I hope they improve the facilities and service.

I got to see the place, though I wasn’t able to stay at the inn. The restaurant is lovely, and I visited all of them. The service was VIP. A big hug to Sra Martha, who welcomed us with so much warmth and affection 😘

The setting is beautiful, with Pedra do Elefante nearby, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly too. But the food let it down badly. We started with arancini that had no salt, then ordered three executive meals. The tilapia fillet tasted old and was awful. The beef seemed close to spoiling, and my pork ribs were only okay, nowhere near good. An executive meal still shouldn’t be low quality. It’s hard to understand how a restaurant in such a lovely location, with such nice decor, can overlook the thing that matters most: the food. I visited last Friday with my family, at the restaurant in Buenos Aires Guarapari.

The natural scenery around it is beautiful, and the place itself is really nice, with a great setup.
