The room had no key, and nothing nearby like a snack bar or market. The beach area is fenced off. The photos make the place look beautiful, but in person it felt like a favela. The woman who greeted us looked annoyed, as if we were asking her for a favor, and the other people looked like criminals to me. I left my family there at 6 p.m. and came back at midnight because the room had no key. The girls couldn’t even use the pool because a bunch of guys were hanging around above them, and they looked like criminals too. I wouldn’t recommend this for families.

The hostel is practically right on the beach, with great finishes and even better service. It’s in a peaceful fishing village about 1 km from the center of Guaratuba. The village infrastructure could be better, with unpaved streets, but Uber will pick you up right at the door. I needed a ride at 1 a.m. and got one. One of the best places I’ve stayed. Highly recommend it.

The double bed was so comfortable I even caught the mattress brand, haha. There’s air conditioning, a hot shower, and a generous breakfast. Dona Ondina is incredibly welcoming. Nothing but praise, we’ll definitely be back.

Dona Dina is such a sweet person, and Paulo and Paula made us feel very welcome too. Everything was clean, safe, and organized, and it’s quiet, so it’s a lovely place to rest. My husband and I really enjoyed it and will come back when we can. Thanks!

The place is cozy and peaceful, close to the sea, with both shared and private rooms. Breakfast was great, and the common area was comfortable and open for relaxing. I was very happy with the stay and the service, and definitely recommend it.
