Casa Enseada Guaruja

The sauna was under maintenance and wasn’t working. Apart from that, my husband and I were welcomed warmly by the staff, and the apartment, number 33, matched what we’d booked. Breakfast was good, with fruit and cakes replenished before they ran out. Everyone was attentive and polite. The kitchen staff and the manager also gave us sightseeing tips, which helped us make the most of our time in Guarujá.

Breakfast was the best part of our stay, it was excellent. We were there for five days during high season, though, and the pool couldn’t be used. Kids were swimming in water that didn’t seem to have even basic care. The sauna stayed under maintenance the whole time. The bedroom and kitchen were good, but the kitchen was missing basic utensils. The place is nice, but it needs better facilities to earn five stars.

The breakfast is perfect, and the staff are helpful and honest. I’ve lost things there more than once, and each time they made sure to return them. Mari, the manager, is wonderful, always attentive and ready to help everyone. I was a little hesitant the first time, but several things pleasantly surprised me. My kids love the place too. If it were up to me, I’d be there every month.

I’m giving two stars for the people at the gate and in the kitchen, who do their jobs very well. The kitchen team kept the food replenished, and breakfast and the New Year’s Eve supper were tasty, well seasoned, and nicely laid out. But good food doesn’t make up for a flood, and I won’t recommend this place. I booked at hotel Harmonia Casa enseada Guarujá from December 30 to January 4, 2026. First, the gate staff were polite and the team treated us well. Then on January 1, 2026, heavy rain overwhelmed the drain, and water rushed back into apartment 11. It flooded the living room, bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom, ran out into the corridor, and also got into the neighboring apartment. The water rose several centimeters. I have health problems, including fibromyalgia, and stress can bring on painful episodes. Even while in pain and having a flare-up, I had to help my family try to push the water out. We couldn’t stop it until the rain let up and the water began to drain. I’m not trying to harm the hotel with this complaint. I want those responsible to address the problems so this doesn’t happen again. I’d been paying for six months and expected a nice experience, so I was disappointed. The rooms and other areas were also very hot. Only the parents’ bedroom had air conditioning, and I felt bad making my children sleep with me, but the fan in their room wasn’t enough. It was like a sauna. The gym and other advertised things were mentioned, but the sauna wasn’t working either. I hope that if I come back someday, the place will be more welcoming and better prepared. I’m available to talk, and I think some kind of fair compensation for the disruption would be appropriate. I’ll wait to hear back.
