Caramuru Hostel Caraíva

Awesome.

It's a small hostel, but really clean and comfortable, with a wonderful view. It's the best one I've stayed at in Caraíva. I’ve been there several times, and this visit felt different. Rose is a big part of what makes Caramuru so special. She takes care of everyone, has coffee ready in the morning, and keeps us posted about what's going on in Caraíva. Without her, the vibe here wouldn't be the same. I'll be back, and I'd definitely stay at Caramuru again.

Rose is the star of the hostel. She handles the day-to-day, makes breakfast, offers cake and coffee in the afternoon, and helps with bookings and getting guests to mingle. Stephanny, the manager, also puts on activities at the hostel and recommends interesting outings in the area, joining in on some of them too. The hostel has a WhatsApp group where management shares trip and event tips directly with guests. The place is small and right by the sand, with an eight-bed mixed room and a four-bed women's room. The compact kitchen is well equipped, and its fridge and stove are new and work well. There's a table for working from home in the living room, along with a few musical instruments. The bathrooms are nicely decorated and have hot showers. The hostel provides a blanket and bath towel, and the daily cleaning is excellent. It's inside Terra Indígena Xandó and a little way from the village, though the walk is not difficult. It would be more comfortable in high season if there were more bathrooms or hot showers. Still, it's a place worth getting to know, and those limitations didn't spoil my stay.

I felt at home here. Caramuru is small, clean, and so cozy, with a beautiful view and sand right outside. Rose is lovely and welcomes everyone so warmly. It's in aldeia Xandó, about a 15-minute walk to the little church. The road gets a bit dark, but it feels safe. I'd stay there a thousand times.
