Awesome.

The worst part was the state of the room and shared areas. The sheets were visibly dirty, stained, dusty, and had what looked like hair from previous guests. One bed had several dead spiders on the sheets. The curtains were grimy, a blanket smelled bad, and one room had a bare, dirty bed base. The kitchen was dirty too. In the bathroom, a toilet was loose, one window had broken glass and no pane, leaving privacy and safety concerns, and there was no bath mat. The pool area had broken tiles that could cause an accident. In one room, the shower wouldn’t stay at a warm temperature unless we tapped it a few times. On arrival, the welcome was poor, with little care for guests’ comfort. Overall, the place seemed short on cleanliness, maintenance, and attentive service. My stay was very negative, and I can’t recommend it unless these things improve considerably.

We stayed in Room 03 from 20/11/2025 to 23/11/2025. The best part was the location: cross the avenue and you’re at the beach, with pao de açúcar, padaria tentação and shopping jequitimar nearby. The pool was lovely and clean, and the lawn and plants were well cared for. The food at Fabi, the inn’s restaurant, was very good, including breakfast. The team there were friendly and welcoming, with lots of choices on the menu. There were a few things to fix. The sheets and pillowcases were stained, though they did look washed, so perhaps the stains would come out with more effective products. We missed having a full-length mirror, since there was only one in the bathroom cabinet and a small, narrow one in the wardrobe. The shower pressure was good and it got very hot, but switching it to warm made it cold. There were structural issues in the ceiling, wall, and floor that should be checked. Breakfast isn’t included. We understood this used to be a hostel and saw older comments about problems from that time. Given how recently the new management took over, we felt it was good as it stands for now. Improvements are needed, but nothing interfered with our stay, and the price seemed fair for the current condition. The team are very attentive, which matters a lot in a place to stay. We hope things keep improving and growing, and we’ll definitely return. We’ll recommend it. Thanks to Mayara and the family team. I sent this comment to the inn and got a reply. They thanked us for the feedback and apologized for any trouble. They said they had been there for seven months and were changing whatever they could, hoping to have everything in shape by the end of the year. Before, it had been a very dirty hostel that was barely fit to live in. They had replaced all the mattresses, and the sheets were new, though sunscreen left by guests could stain them. They said the TVs, sheets, and towels hadn’t been there before, and that minibars were planned for all suites the next month. They had also been thinking about a mirror like one they saw in ilha bela, and planned to have one made, plus beach-chair service for guests. The showers were due to be replaced too. They said the changes had been going well, but there was still hard work ahead, and that all criticism was constructive. They asked forgiveness for any inconvenience, thanked us very much for the feedback, and wished us God’s blessings.

The beach location is about the only thing I can praise. My stay was a huge disappointment, and the Instagram photos are misleading. I sent a fuller complaint directly to the owner on WhatsApp, but here’s the short version. The woman cooking in the kitchen smoked around the food, touched fries and put them in her mouth, and the owner Mayara did the same with the breakfast cold cuts. The shower barely dripped, the toilet wouldn’t flush, and the air conditioning worked only when it felt like it. We ordered a fish fillet plate and got half a fillet, two lunches, and a small bowl of beans, as if we were meant to share. When I asked for a glass for my Coke, the woman put it on the window ledge for us to fetch. She brought a disposable cup first, then made a face when I asked for glass and brought an americano glass. Her bad attitude and gross behavior meant I ate there only once. They offered us New Year’s dinner for R$ 45,00 per person, quoted by the cook. Mayara later said that was wrong, first saying R$ 65,00, then offering it for R$ 55,00. So we got three different prices, and the same cook who smoked in the kitchen would be making the meal. The pool was dirty until another guest cleared it with the pool net. There was no drinking water dispenser, stove, or fridge for guests to use. Everything was handled with a sour face. The stay was expensive, and someone else was charged less for the same length of stay. I’m very upset and wouldn’t advise anyone to book here. There are simple inns that feel more welcoming and are a better use of hard-earned money.
