Pousada Villa Santô

The rooms are simple, but tidy and well maintained, and the pool was great for cooling down on a hot day. The inn is just a block from the beach, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast also had a great spread: fresh bread, cold cuts, fruit, juices, coffee, and more.

There’s no parking at the inn, but the street is quiet enough to leave the car, and the place is really nice and close to the beach. The pool is on the small side, but still lovely, and it wasn’t crowded on any of the days I stayed. Being so near the beach helped too. My room was missing bath towels and a bathroom mat when I arrived, but I told the receptionist and she sorted it out quickly. A cozy, welcoming place overall.

The inn is gorgeous, and I felt fine walking around the street by myself. The staff are lovely, the pool is great, and I enjoyed the food. The only issue was the restaurant menu during the week, when a lot of things like fish and mashed potatoes weren’t available. Food took a little while, probably because of the number of staff, but there are other places to eat nearby.

The food was the standout for us. We ordered dinner at the inn every night, and it was delicious, home-style, consistently prepared, and generous in portion. The menu prices were also better than what we saw around town. We really enjoyed the whole stay, starting with the booking: I had to change the dates a few times and they helped promptly. The inn is near the beach, though we chose to stay at another beach, and parking on each occasion was easy despite there being no private lot. Our room was excellent, beautifully decorated and cozy, with impeccable cleaning every day starting on our second day. Breakfast had good variety and was fresh. Special thanks to Matheus and Michael, who helped us throughout our four days and made our mini vacation much easier. We’re grateful to the staff and will be back.
