A terrible pousada. The owner was rude, though the female staff were nice enough. I wouldn’t go back even for free. My money was just thrown away.

The location is great, close to the beach, a market, a pharmacy, and restaurants. Breakfast was simple and tasty. I recommend it.

My wife and I had planned to stay Saturday and Sunday. We paid half in advance and the other half when we arrived, but left after less than 20 minutes and lost the full amount. The photos didn’t match what we found, and the place fell far short. It felt more like a hostel than a pousada. An employee even told us there was a lot that needed improving. The owner refused to refund the 50 percent we’d paid, even though we never stayed. The best decision we made was leaving.

I can’t recommend this place. I was there with my 96-year-old father, my son, and my husband. When it was time to leave, I called an Uber, but had to wait for a driver to accept because we were going a long way. I stepped out to the sidewalk, then asked if we could wait inside so my father could sit down. He’s elderly and uses a cane, so it was obvious he needed a seat. The owner said we couldn’t come in because he was leaving and there was no employee to open the door. I was stunned. A 24-hour pousada should have someone available to let guests in, and leaving my 96-year-old father standing on the sidewalk was too much.
