8/10
The airport is close, and having a couple of supermarkets nearby is handy. You can hear planes taking off and landing, but that seems reasonable for the location. Check-in was fast, and the front desk staff were courteous and professional. I've stayed at the Hampton by Hilton near Guarulhos Airport for seven years, and the recent room refurbishments have made the stay noticeably more comfortable. The breakfast and lunch buffets were very good again, just as in my past visits. Another pleasant stay, and I'd happily recommend it to someone needing a comfortable spot near the airport.

The restaurant's Brazilian food was a treat, especially breakfast. I did miss having proper English tea, though. The staff were welcoming, and the shuttle ran smoothly. A comfortable, convenient choice for a short stay near GRU Airport.

4/10
The free airport shuttle and convenient location are good points, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Noise comes through from outside and from neighboring rooms because the rooms aren't soundproof, and the uncomfortable beds made it hard to sleep well. For a hotel by an international airport, I expected better power options, like universal outlets and plenty of USB and USB-C ports. They don't have those.

2/10
We trusted the hotel and its security, so this was deeply disappointing. On February 4th, we accidentally left an envelope with USD 1,800 in the room safe. When we contacted the hotel as soon as we noticed, they told us “nothing was found.” The money hadn't been left out in the room; it was inside the safe. We politely asked for housekeeping and security to review the matter thoroughly and whether there was any record of the safe being opened after checkout. We got no detailed explanation or meaningful help. Losing that amount is extremely distressing, and the lack of accountability or internal follow-up made it worse.

The bed linen was extremely poor quality, and the old air-conditioning was noisy without really cooling the bedroom. I was very uncomfortable trying to sleep. The staff and room were good, and the restaurant served tasty food.
