I missed my flight and booked in with these guys. They made the stay really nice, and the whole staff team was very helpful and good. If you come to Brazil, you should all stay here.

It's close to gru airport, about 12 minutes by Uber, but expensive for what you get. The place is run-down and badly maintained, with almost no insulation in the walls, so you hear every word from guests in the next room. It urgently needs renovation.

The shared bathroom smelled bad and wasn't well maintained. There's no water cooler, so you have to buy bottled water, adding to plastic waste. The hostel is very close to the airport, making it a good affordable overnight stop while in transit at Sao Paulo airport. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic, and accommodated my late check-in.

I stayed one night before catching a flight. It's a basic, clean hostel with friendly staff. The neighborhood looked poor, but I felt safe, and there's a restaurant, bakery, pharmacy, and supermarket around the corner. I'd definitely recommend it for a budget stay. My dorm bed had its own curtains and a socket right beside it for charging a phone. Reception can print documents for 2 reais per page. From terminal 3, bus 331V costs 5 reais and goes to Rodoviária de Guarulhos, probably less than a 5-minute walk from the hostel. To reach the airport, take the CTPM train from CECAP station for 4.40 reais. It leaves you one stop away, where you can catch a FREE bus to all 3 terminals.
