After a long day of travel delays, I was exhausted and still had all the paperwork for checking into a Brazilian hotel to do. Alejandra noticed and helped me finish the documents so the process could move along faster. She was attentive, sincere, and wonderful with customer service. She should be a Manager and show the other people behind the counter how it’s done.

The rooms are fine for a one-night stay, and both breakfast and dinner were good. Check-in took a long time. Staff weren’t very friendly or enthusiastic either. They gave the necessary answers, but kept them short and direct, without much warmth.

I enjoyed the hotel, my room, and the breakfast. Getting to the airport was less convenient than I expected, though. The shuttle only comes once an hour, which didn’t work with my early flight, so I called an Uber instead. That was easy enough. The property is technically 2.5 km from the airport, but the roads mean it’s a 9 km drive, which adds quite a bit of time. Had I known that, I’m not sure I would have considered this hotel, since airport proximity and the shuttle were priorities for me.

A delayed flight left me at Ibis Budget Guarulhos for two nights. Meals were fine, everything went smoothly, and communication was easy. João deserves special thanks for helping me when I arrived and sorting out my taxi reservation the next day.

The room was clean, breakfast was good, and the attendants were lovely. Check-in was rough, though: we stood in line for 45 minutes with our four children. Decent for the price.
