The food was fantastic: not a huge amount of choice, but a varied, carefully prepared menu, and everything tasted great. The shower was frustrating, the mattress seemed a bit old, and the single bed mattress was very thin. The blankets didn't smell fresh. We had a lot of fun on the trail, zipline, and games with tio coruja and tia panda. They’re great with kids, who really enjoyed themselves.

The food is typical farm-style cooking, with lots of flavor and plenty of variety at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. My family is up early, so the meal times felt late: breakfast starts at 8:30 and dinner at 19:30. The recreation is simple but lovely, and the staff show the kids and older guests a lot of affection. My daughter will remember the lively tio Bigode and sweet tia Lua. It's a proper old-school farm, with sheep, horses, pigs, and chickens. We were lucky enough to see a baby goat that had been born just a few hours earlier. The short horseback ride is still enjoyable, and there are pedal boats and fishing too. The 500-meter zipline is the big attraction. If you're light, tell the instructor to give you a push so you don't stop over the lake and end up needing a rescue like I did! There are lots of trees around the hotel. You can choose a standard room facing the pool or a superior one above it. I stayed in room 19, which felt private. The pool is big and gorgeous, with a bridge and waterfall, but it never warms up, even in strong sunshine. It would be perfect if the owner invested in heating it, which would make me more eager to come back and use it. I recommend the place.
