I stayed one night and set up my hammock. Hugo was super nice and accommodating, and he makes great food.

We only came by for dinner and didn’t camp there. The food was really good, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. They had lights all around in the evening, which made for a great atmosphere.

The people working there were all very friendly, and the restaurant food was really good. Prices seemed reasonable for the island: 50 BRL per night, a PF for 50 BRL, and a Heineken Longneck for 15 BRL. The camping area is tiny. My tent spot was ringed by piles of plastic and trash, and there was a strong cat urine smell. It didn’t seem clean: the kitchen smelled awful, the bathroom was only in fair condition, and there was just one working shower for the whole campsite. There is electricity and Wi-Fi around the clock.

My first New Year’s at this campsite was one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s such a beautiful, peaceful place, and the meals are something special. I plan to come back at least once a year.

This is my favorite place in the world, nothing comes close. What Hugo and Vitória do there is truly amazing. I always cry when it’s time to leave. Anyone would be so lucky to stay there, and I recommend it with my eyes closed.
