The staff were friendly, and so were the cats! Just remember to bring your own soap and toiletries, since our room didn’t have any. We had a small room, but the balcony faced the water and had a hammock, where I spent lots of time. Jumping off the jetty into the water was a favorite, and you can sometimes spot turtles in the mornings. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby. Breakfast was great, with scrambled eggs, bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit, cakes, and several fresh juices. We also liked the dinners, though there are other restaurants and stores close by if you want to go elsewhere. The strong, tasty caipirinhas were perfect in the late afternoon. A lovely place to spend a few nights.

Sonia was lovely, and everyone on the island was friendly and kind. We also got a boat transfer from Angra to ilha grande with Marlon, who was very nice. A great place for a relaxing break.

The hosts were among the kindest you’ll find anywhere, and the stay was pure bliss. The vegetarian cooking was a real eye-opener. Rooms are spacious and have a small minibar if you want something extra. Nearby beaches are walkable, and amazing rainforest hikes start practically at your door. A top-quality place that puts customers first.

The views and location at Pousada Cruzoé are incredible, and Sonia and Fabio in particular were so kind. They make killer caipirinhas too. This was one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we’ll recommend it to everyone we know.

We spent two days there as a break from hiking and didn’t leave the pousada. There’s snorkeling around the own pier, plus boat services, standup paddle, and kayaks right there. The staff were excellent, and it’s a wonderful retreat. Best of all, the aquaculture 100m away supplied super fresh vieras and oysters. Thank you!
