Pousada Lonier Praia Inn

The inn is right across from the beach, with all the popular restaurants close by. WiFi worked really well, breakfast was great, and they cleaned regularly. A top tier stay 👍

Breakfast was good, but the mornings were very noisy. The rooms were mouldy and had no soap, and when we arrived there weren't any towels in ours. We had to ask, then wait a few hours. The staff also didn't answer emails or calls in the days before our reservation.

Breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. This place seems better suited to people who are out all day and don't need a lounge area. We had some room problems: our first room was right above the restaurant kitchen and smelled unpleasant, so we managed to switch. The new room had mould residue everywhere. My parents' room had a kitchen that badly needed a deep clean, and its bathroom window couldn't be opened. Ventilation was only through a shaft where a whole swarm of mosquitoes lived.

It took more than two months, but management eventually replied to my cancellation request, and today they kindly gave me a full refund. I feel the situation has been made fair, and I'm incredibly happy about that. I had booked and paid eight months earlier. A month before the stay, I emailed to say I couldn't travel to Brazil. I tried several times but got no reply at first, and they kept all the money. The hotel was fully booked a day after I asked to cancel, and they hadn't responded to me or even Expedia.
