Lucas really made our stay memorable. He was warm, kind, and always ready to help with a smile, including sharing local tips and making sure things were right. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and cozy, and breakfast was fresh and tasty each morning. Pousada Porto Girassol is in a lovely quiet spot near the beach, surrounded by Ilha Grande's natural beauty. I'd happily recommend it for its comfort and genuine hospitality, and I can't wait to return.
We were in room 1 when the power went out around 8pm, and the generator right beside the room made it impossible to sleep. Staff said outages and this situation were usual because the island's power supply is poor, so it sounded like a known recurring issue without preventive steps or a guest-friendly fix. They said the hotel was full and the generator couldn't be shut off until 3am. We weren't offered another room or compensation, and there was no real effort to help. The lack of empathy and problem-solving was very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you need rest or basic customer care.

It's right by the beach, and an easy walk to the bars and restaurants. Everyone on staff was welcoming and happy to help us arrange taxis or tours. We just wish we could've stayed longer, and hope to come back.
The garden was lovely, with a lawn leading down to the beach. The place is very well located, and the people working there were really nice and always helpful. A perfect choice.
