Verde Mar Ilha Grande

We had a peaceful, private stay in a splendid room with a wide view of the sea 🌊. When we arrived on a regular fast boat, Monica was there to greet us warmly at the pier. We enjoyed swimming by the pier and exploring in the kayaks, and were lucky to see a sea turtle on one trip. There were only two full sunny days, but the room had a TV, so we could relax with shows indoors when it rained. Nearby trails made for a great way to explore the island, and breakfast had everything we could have wanted to start the day. The attentive staff were always ready to help, and the owner made our stay especially enjoyable. The only small downside was the lunch and dinner prices. We understand the challenges of being on an island, but we'd have eaten there more often if the prices had been a bit lower. It was a wonderful, memorable stay, and we'd definitely recommend it.

The service really stood out at Verde Mar. Monica, the manager, was vibrant, kind, and welcoming, and the rest of the staff were just as attentive and sweet. The food they served was delectable, too. We came to Araçatiba looking for seclusion with a comfortable, okay luxurious place to stay, and that's exactly what we found. It's by far the nicest property along that stretch of beach. Our room was clean, modern, and sleek, with a scenic ocean view. There were fun extras like free kayaks and standing boards for checking out the coast. I'd highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

After 4 weeks traveling through Peru, Bolivia and Brazil, my partner, friends and I wanted a few relaxing days after Rio on Ilhe Grande. Verde Mar Pousada, at the Eastern end of the island, was just right. Monica greeted us off the resorts exclusive peers, and the rest of our stay was bliss. The gardens were beautiful, the meals cooked fresh each time were delicious, and our rooms were absolutely beautiful. We could hear the gentle sound of the ocean every night. If you're after a relaxing Brazilian slice of paradise, I can't recommend Verde Mar highly enough.

This side of the island is peaceful and quiet, with everything you need for a perfect holiday in paradise. We snorkeled nearby and saw lots of beautiful fish and turtles. The rooms are modern, super clean, very comfortable, and amazingly well made. The view is breathtaking, too. It really feels like paradise here, and we'll definitely come back when we're on the island again. Mônica was an excellent hostess, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I never felt like I was asking too much. Gisele is an amazing cook and gets the balance just right on every plate. The man who helped get the kayaks ready, carried our bags, and served the food was amazing as well. Congratulations to the whole team, everyone was great! They even helped arrange a beautiful surprise one night for my loved ones. Gratidão 🙏
