Pousada Conde do Mar

The other staff were kind, but Luiz treated us really badly and made lame jokes. When I asked for the Wi-Fi password because I couldn’t get online, he was rude and impatient with me. It was awful. The place is clean, well located, and easy to get to. But the beds and pillows were bad, and the owner doesn’t allow pets even though his own dog barked several times. Breakfast is served by the staff and starts too late. The TV is so small you can barely see it, and there aren’t many channels.

We’ve come back to the same place for a second time. It’s right beside the ferry and close to everything, which is a big plus. The host, Tales, is really nice and gives great tips on places to visit.

The location near the ferry is great, and the breakfast is wonderful. The hosts are ready to help with anything, whether it’s about the pousada or suggestions for exploring the island. I’m definitely making this my regular place to stay here!

We were welcomed so warmly and kindly by Sr. Luis and his sons. The pousada has a relaxed, family atmosphere, and everyone we met was quiet, friendly, and polite. Breakfast is simple but delicious, served individually at each table. For the way we like to travel, the location was perfect. It’s a block from Praia Barra Velha and close to the ferry. It’s a little far from the historic center, which suited us because the area was peaceful and quiet enough for a good night’s rest. The nearby shopping avenue had everything we needed during our stay. Our suite was simple but spacious, and the bed and mattress were very comfortable. I have trouble sleeping, but I slept deeply there. Right outside our door was a bird feeder, so every morning we could wake up to the birds singing and looking beautiful. We noticed very few borrachudos at the pousada. Pharmacy repellents don’t work well against those pests, so buy the repellents sold on the island, which are more suitable. If you’re coming to Ilhabela for rest, nature, and simple things that matter most, I highly recommend Pousada Conde do Mar. Many thanks to Sr. Luis and his sons!
