We went on the weekend of 06/02 and unfortunately booked for just one person by mistake, when there were four of us. But the host knew how many people were coming and even confirmed it by message before our trip. He still didn’t tell us that the reservation was for one person. He waited until we arrived with our bags at 7 p.m., after traveling 300 km, to let us know. Then he wanted to charge us a higher extra amount outside airnbnb. We apologized for our mistake and still asked if he could give us a discount since we were already there, but he wouldn’t. He didn’t make any effort to help us at all. What upset me was that he waited until we got there to tell us. It felt like he thought we’d accept the price once we’d already arrived. We didn’t accept it. We had made a mistake, but so had he, and he showed no interest in negotiating.

We had a great view of the mountain and a large table on the balcony, and Anderson and Iza welcomed us really warmly. The house is spacious, clean, and well kept. It has all the utensils and a barbecue. There are seven beds altogether: a double bed, a bunk bed, and another bunk bed with a mattress on the floor, plus a sofa bed. We’ll definitely be back!

The second-floor place had a lovely view and balcony, and it was fully equipped, just what we were looking for since we like making our own meals. Shops are nearby, too. It was peaceful and suited our needs. The hosts were polite and made us feel at ease. It was worth it!

I’m sorry to say I didn’t have a good experience, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. I’d hoped for a relaxing weekend in Ilhabela, but that’s not how it went.
