Pousada de Charme Emirados

Great.

Fernanda was helpful from the moment we booked, sharing tips for restaurants, beaches, and more. We got a suite upgrade, and the room was spacious with a balcony and a clean bathroom. The inn sits in a quiet, tucked-away neighborhood, yet driving to the central area and beaches was easy, and shops and pharmacies were close by. Breakfast had a nice range of options, and when it rained, we relaxed in the spa jacuzzi. My only gripes were the room felt a bit dark, though that cozy lighting runs through the whole inn, and the shower pressure was low because of the area's water supply at that time of year. I'd recommend staying here.

The friendly staff made the week for us. Fernanda and Edilsa looked after us warmly from the time we booked, and everyone else was just as kind. Our Castelhanos suite, number 8, was clean and smelled fresh, with lovely white bedding and towels. The mattress was soft but surprisingly supportive, so we slept really well. There are thoughtful touches throughout, including a carefully prepared breakfast and a little afternoon coffee from 5:30, with a different treat each day. The flowery courtyard has private parking, lots of greenery, and a small waterfall that feels peaceful. It’s only a couple of minutes by car from the island center, with supermarkets, banks, bakeries, pharmacies, and restaurants nearby. The suite had everything we needed: smart TV, great air conditioning, hair dryer, electric shower, and minibar. The lighting is intimate and romantic, though it may be too dim if you want to read or work from the room. A few brighter spotlights as an option would help. A really charming pousada, and one we’d happily recommend.

I came here after looking for recommendations on Google, so I wanted to leave one too. The managers were attentive, and the place was clean and well organized. A 10 out of 10.
