Pousada Malibu

We left feeling frustrated and humiliated, with the sense that the guests simply didn’t matter. There was no conversation, empathy, or effort to work things out. We were just ordered out of the hotel, in a humiliating and disrespectful way that had nothing to do with hospitality. Travel should be restful and welcoming, but our experience was the opposite. I can’t recommend this place. There’s a lack of professionalism, respect, and ability to deal with people.

Everything was really nice. The welcome was great, and the staff were polite and helpful. The place was clean and well organized. Well done.

It was really uncomfortable and unpleasant. The front desk let us in with my toy poodle, and we had already settled in and unpacked our bags when they told us to leave because the inn didn’t allow animals. They should have told us at reception before letting us in. We ended up wasting our time.

The place has a decent setup, but it costs a lot for what you get. The air conditioner was old and noisy, and the bathrooms had no locks or holders for towels and soap. There’s no drinking fountain, so you have to pay for water, and outside food and drinks aren’t allowed. The pool, bar, and kitchen all close at 7 p.m., and no kind of music is allowed by the pool. Food and drinks there are very expensive. A lot of money seems to have gone into the place for very little return.
