Pousada Pontal

It’s always nice to stay at this pousada. It’s a pleasant, clean, comfortable place, though unfortunately they take a long time to announce when December bookings are open.

The location is very good and the price is great. I had an issue with some of the check-in rules, but it got sorted out. The service and rooms are reasonable, though they don’t really offer much.

The price and quality are great, and the pousada itself is still worth considering. I’ve stayed here several times and had good experiences, especially when the owner was serving guests. He’s fantastic. On my last stay, though, I dealt with someone who showed no empathy at all. I explained that my baby was asleep in their mother’s arms, so I didn’t have her physical ID with me at that moment. I only needed to put the baby in a bed so I could show the physical documents and finish the formalities. The attendant wouldn’t budge, and the stay got off to an uncomfortable start. Then he put us in the highest, farthest room in the pousada, even though I’d clearly said there was a baby sleeping in the mother’s arms. That employee’s terrible service doesn’t take away from the pousada itself. The price and quality are great. Enjoy your stay!

The place is clean and well located. There are rooms on the ground floor, but they’re usually occupied. The main issue is the stairs to the upstairs rooms, so anyone with limited mobility should mention that when booking.
