Imbassai is a paradise if you want beautiful beaches, nature, and a chance to unwind away from crowds, steep prices, and the madness of other places in Bahia. The inn is lovely, clean, and very safe. Carol and Cecilia, the owners, are terrific with every detail, always ready to sort out problems and offer advice on activities, walks, and places to visit. Breakfast is generous, with personalized options for special needs, and the internet works very well for remote work. For me, this is the best inn in Imbassai.

The inn is leafy and well lit, and it’s close enough to restaurants to walk there. The owners and staff were very friendly, and breakfast was excellent. Pets are allowed with some standard rules. There’s parking right out front for five vehicles, plus another lot behind the inn with room for several more. Both have easy access to the rooms, including ramps for wheelchair users. A couple of things kept me from giving full marks: the TV in my room wasn’t smart and only had open channels, with no streaming, and breakfast starting at 8 a.m. felt late. If you have an early outing, you either leave later or go without breakfast. I think it should start at 7.
