Pousada Tupi

For 35usd, our two-night stay was okay. Vivian at reception was very helpful.

We booked just one night, and it was a disappointing stay. To me, it's a good example of poor management. The way the staff dealt with us made me think they may not be treated respectfully at work. We ordered pizza at night and staff refused to lend us plates, knives, or forks. Luckily, one very pleasant older staff member helped us out. Our 4-year-old children had been awake since 7, and breakfast was very late. When it finally came, it was far below what I'd expect for the price. I don't recommend the place and wouldn't return.

I woke up and left just to get away from the place. I won't return or recommend it. The staff were unpleasant and rude, except for a polite, kind, helpful older man with a darker complexion. They didn't clean the room or take out the trash, and nobody told me. After a tiring day at the beach, I had to tidy up, clean the bathroom, and sort out the room myself. Breakfast felt like barely having breakfast at all. I had to stand by the kitchen door and ask for everything, cups, plates, coffee, juice, and so on. The eggs I requested for the couple came out scrambled, with an unpleasant look. A thin slice of cheese was cut into five pieces. The sheets and towels were disappointing too. The pool area was dirty, and the restaurant looked awful, with tablecloths that looked like floor rags.

It's a simple place, but spotlessly clean. Raquel was always so kind when welcoming us, and the women serving breakfast were lovely. The beach is really close, and it's great value for a quiet weekend.
