I enjoyed the quiet and privacy, and the chalets had everything I needed. The owners are around and always ready to help. I liked the stay enough to add a few more days, and it was hard to feel like leaving the inn at all. It’s in a central area, which also makes it handy for anyone going to surfland. I’m always recommending it to friends.

Monica welcomed us so warmly and pointed us toward some great restaurants. The place felt like a peaceful hideaway, though it’s just a short distance from the center. The kitchen has all the equipment needed for a comfortable stay. Iluminao will definitely be our stop when we come back to praia do Rosa. 💜

I wouldn’t stay here again. We came last November for my brother’s wedding, during a cold spell. The property has a good structure, but I noticed as soon as we arrived that the bed linen didn’t smell fresh. There’s no paved path all the way to the rooms, so it was impossible to get there without dirtying our feet in that weather. After our stay, with my husband, our two daughters and me, they contacted me on WhatsApp to ask for an extra fee to wash the comforters because my two-month-old baby had soiled one. I was shocked and asked whether the comforters weren’t washed whenever guests changed. That made me realize they weren’t, which explained the strange smell I’d noticed when we arrived.

The garden was always so well cared for, with neatly trimmed grass, and you could tell the owners put love into every part of their work. The houses are really cool, and the whole place has an amazing vibe. The owner even surprised us with a sweet little gesture when we arrived because it was my boyfriend’s birthday. I hugged her a bunch to say thanks, haha. I loved everything and we’ll definitely come back.
