Pousada Vivenda do Rosa

Top notch.

We booked a suite at Vivenda do Rosa for November 20-23, over the holiday, and paid 50% more than two months ahead. Then, at 5:20 p.m. on November 19, Raphael, supposedly the owner or manager, told us our room had been given to another family who had booked two suites. They broke our agreement and seemed to prioritize that larger group. With less than 24 hours before check-in, we were told Raphael would move us to a nearby inn he described as “more expensive” and “better,” at no extra charge. It didn’t feel like a real choice. We had almost no time to sort it out ourselves, and there were no vacancies left in the area. Even if the alternative inn had a better view, we didn’t get the room we chose, its breakfast was different, and we were separated from the friends traveling with us who were staying at Vivenda do Rosa. The plans we’d made over several months, including the car, beach, and timing, were affected. It felt like they took our already-paid room away and moved us aside as if we were the problem, possibly to make more money from a bigger group. Saying the other inn was “more expensive” made little sense to us, since any last-minute booking would cost more. It didn’t change the fact that we’d booked and paid well in advance. What stood out was the lack of professionalism, commitment, and respect. If we had cancelled with less than 24 hours to go, we believe we would have lost our payment without mercy. Yet they apparently felt entitled to break the agreement and pass our room to someone else. I’m leaving this account to warn future guests: be careful when booking directly with Pousada Vivenda do Rosa. We experienced disorganization, a lack of commitment, and no consideration for people who had already booked and paid. If you go to Rosa, I strongly recommend booking through platforms that protect consumers so you don’t go through what we did. I don’t recommend it. We never even stayed at the inn because our suite was taken, and I don’t want to go anywhere near the place next time I’m in the area.

The location is very good, and the apartment was clean and comfortable. Breakfast came to our room. It was simple but tasty, with fresh bread and fruit, and there was enough for us. The employee who welcomed us was polite and helpful. We liked the stay a lot.

We’ve stayed here twice now, and I’d highly recommend it. The inn is lovely and peaceful, in a great location, and impeccably clean. The breakfast was wonderful, the room had a kitchen, and the owners are really nice.
