Pousada Alaia

The cabins are very clean inside and out, with a spotless bathroom, and they work well for four people. William was attentive and friendly throughout. It’s a bit far from the beach, and the unpaved roads are hard going in a low-clearance car. I also would have liked air conditioning and a gas or electric oven.

Very comfortable, very clean, and high quality. It’s a great place run by its owners, close to the beach and with easy access to other beaches too. We’ll be back.

We really loved how peaceful and cozy this place felt. The cabins are lovely, and the rooms have a double bed, bunk bed, fridge, TV, and full bathroom. There’s a shared kitchen and barbecue area, plus plenty of hammocks. Everything was clean and tidy. Parking is a bit tight for the number of rooms, and the pool wasn’t clean when we visited out of season. It’s easy enough to find with GPS, though even that can get a little lost sometimes. Once you pay attention to the route, it’s straightforward, and the center is a short drive away. All the roads are sandy but easy to get along. It’s really worth it for the quiet and comfortable atmosphere.

The access road was really difficult, as seems to be the case with all the inns at Rosa, and I think they should warn guests about that. Once there, though, we found a cozy place with a good room, its own table and fridge, and a TV with Netflix. The reception was very nice, and there’s a great shared area for making meals, playing cards, or just relaxing.
