Pousada Parque Ecológico

A good spot for an overnight stay.

Okay.

Great!

The location is excellent, near both the ecological park and the center, but the service at the inn was really disappointing. On the first day, we paid for four nights plus the air conditioning fee. When we asked to split the payment into two installments, they said no. We thought that was absurd since everywhere else we’ve stayed allowed at least two installments. Then we found the air conditioning wasn’t on. We spent quite a while trying to turn it on, with no luck. When we spoke to the attendant Neuza, she checked the electrical box and explained that she had switched on the wrong button, for another room. I know people make mistakes, but not apologizing showed no consideration for the customer. The worst part was breakfast. It was simple, and the service while food was being served was awful. A woman we heard being called Cecília stayed in the kitchen chatting and laughing loudly with several people instead of replenishing what had run out. There was no papaya, coffee, and other items. We also didn’t see anyone wearing hairnets to keep hair from getting into the food. It made us wonder whether food hygiene is being taken seriously. I’d suggest the owner train the staff, because they’re damaging the inn’s reputation.
