The pool was great and cleaned every day, and the Wi-Fi worked throughout the inn with a fast connection. We spent a weekend at Pousada Carcará, where the owners and staff were friendly and ready to help with whatever we needed. The inn is easy to reach, in a quiet area with little noise, just a few meters from the beach and about 2 km from the center. Everything was clean, organized, and smelled fresh. The rooms are simple but comfortable. Breakfast was prepared very well both days. There weren’t many options, but everything tasted good.

The pool was very good, the minibar was excellent and met our needs, and there’s a pleasant shared area for breakfast. The air conditioning worked well, and having a shared clothesline was useful. Staff were neutral. We were welcomed well, but there wasn’t much flexibility during the stay. The owner was very friendly, while the owner’s wife was arrogant and provided very poor service. The nearby beach isn’t suitable for swimming, and reaching a swimming beach meant walking more than 20 minutes or paying for an Uber. Cleanliness was below average. The bathroom smelled bad, the bathroom cloth wasn’t changed and kept a strong odor, towels weren’t changed daily and stayed damp, and the sheets were stained and weren’t changed. I woke up in the night to find a cockroach in the room. The shower gave an electric shock when switched on. The TV only got three channels. Breakfast was good, but when there were few guests, the amount and variety dropped a lot and food wasn’t replenished. For a short stay, it may be worth keeping these points in mind.

The inn is well located, the owner is very friendly, and breakfast is great. But room cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The towels weren’t changed every day, and the bathroom wasn’t washed daily either. My mother’s room had a strong cigarette smell, while another available room smelled musty. The bathroom developed a sewage odor during the last few days, and I woke several times at night because of it. It was impossible to sleep. They only gave the room a rough wipe, and it never felt or smelled clean.
