Bring a spare set of quick-drying clothes and shoes if you're doing the tours, sportswear or a wetsuit works well. We tried both the cave and waterfall trips and kayaking, all bookable at Gamboa. The guides were friendly and clearly love what they do. The park itself has a lovely garden and cute bungalows, and the restaurant food and staff were great. It's tucked away in the mountains by the river, so it felt like paradise to me. Huge thanks to the people who created this place! 😍😍

The staff are so friendly and helpful, and they'll arrange guides and whatever else you need. It's a very peaceful spot with lots to do even if you don't visit Petar park. The hotel is clean and sits in an amazing location. If you're staying near the park, this is a great choice. I'd suggest having a translator with you.

The food wasn't great, so plan on eating in town, though everything's closed on Mondays. The place itself is lovely, with clean rooms, friendly staff, and a beautiful riverside location.
