I tried to stay here but couldn’t. The owner was quite arrogant with me on WhatsApp, speaking loudly and not wanting to explain what was going on, then blocked me. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who wants to avoid a disappointing experience.

I stayed for three days and fell in love with the place. The Pousada has been renovated and looks incredible, with a really pleasant atmosphere that connects with nature. The rooms were clean, smelled fresh, and were very comfortable, with lovely decor. I enjoyed it a lot, and breakfast was already available!

I’m responding to the owner’s, at minimum, rude reply to Henrique Vieira’s comment. What Henrique described happened exactly as he said, and there was more to it. When we went to reception to report the problem, the owner was there. Unlike his response here, he apologized and said he didn’t know how it could have happened. He said he had dogs in the yard behind the room, and that they were vaccinated and dewormed, though that didn’t stop them from having ticks. We arrived, left our things in the room, and went out to eat. When we came back, we saw two ticks on the floor. A little later, we spotted another crawling on one of our two Shih Tzus. Our dogs are vaccinated, dewormed, and treated with a product to prevent fleas and ticks, since we travel with them and those pests can cause disease. We hadn’t seen any ticks on them during the calm drive from Brasília to the Pousada, and this had never happened to them before. We started looking and found more and more around the room. When we moved the beds, there was dirt and more ticks, so we went to reception to report it. There were enough on the floor and on our dogs that the car should at least have been infested too. The owner quickly refunded the card payment and told us to take our time packing and leave when we were ready. But his reply to Henrique called a customer who’d had to deal with a problem at the Pousada cruel, mean, and jealous. That’s completely unprofessional. Nobody leaves home and travels just to sleep on the road because they’re jealous or mean, or whatever else this man thinks. The owner, manager, or whoever was responsible acted shamefully and deceitfully: concerned and apologetic to us in person, then arrogant in the comments. The other problems Henrique mentioned were true as well: the shower enclosure was broken, the sink tap was almost falling off, there was a horrible smell after the first person showered, the drain covers were missing, and the room’s cleanliness left a lot to be desired. As the owner said, this isn’t a five-star hotel, and it doesn’t have to be one for an overnight roadside stop. But it does need basic hygiene, which we didn’t find. It’s clear the customer didn’t make this situation up. The owner should honestly apologize for the labels he put on Henrique, which were completely unwarranted. This platform is here so consumers can share what happened to them.

They welcomed me very warmly. The rooms were new, and everything was clean. Renovations were going on, so breakfast wasn’t available.

This Pousada was awful, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. After a full day of travel, we had to leave close to 11 p.m. because the room had so many problems. The worst was the tick infestation. There was no toilet paper, the bathroom smelled really bad, the shower enclosure was broken, the sink tap was in terrible shape, and there were loads of mosquitoes. Just horrible. The price didn’t match what the place offered, but we’d decided to stay because we were exhausted. Before leaving, we managed to get the card charge refunded. The owner didn’t even bother coming to the room to check what we reported, which made it seem like they already knew how bad the conditions were. Then we were left scrambling to find another hotel late at night, and it cost even more. I would’ve taken more pictures to show here, but we just wanted to get out. It was disrespectful to guests.
