Blue Ocean Flats

Our tours started between 07:00 and 07:40, but even after we gave a day's notice, they refused to serve breakfast just 30 minutes earlier. We had to leave without eating because they wouldn't be flexible at all. The pool was under renovation, and that hadn't been mentioned when I booked. I asked for a refund so I could stay at another hotel, but they refused and offered one extra day as compensation. Changing the flight to the next day would cost R$2.790,00.

The noise went on constantly, and the loud music from the pool area at night made it impossible to rest. The room also looked nothing like the advertised photos, so I asked to move. Júlia first said the system was down and told me to come back later. Then she said I'd have to wait longer and pay a difference. I agreed, as long as the new room was quieter and cleaner, but she again asked me to wait. After a long time, I went to reception for an answer. As soon as I approached, she picked up a phone, held it to her ear, and ignored me. The employees spent much of the time on their phones, paid little attention to guests, and often seemed unwilling to help. The whole ordeal lasted hours. I booked online because the photos and reviews looked good, but nothing matched the reality. The breakfast was extremely poor: no juice, water, or eggs, and getting a simple glass of water meant asking repeatedly. There were no cold cuts either. It was the worst breakfast I've seen. With no solution and so little care or professionalism, I decided to leave and find another pousada, even though I'd already paid. Only when I returned the key did the employee say they could move me without charging extra. After everything, I chose to go. Then she said they wouldn't refund me and that if I wasn't satisfied, I could just leave. I had to file a police report and seek a refund through the courts, after scrambling to pay for another place to stay. I've visited Bahia several times and never had such a frustrating stay. What should have been a relaxing holiday turned into a headache.

During my vacation, this pousada gave me a wonderful sense of peace from the moment I arrived. It was welcoming and well organized, and the staff were always polite, attentive, and ready to help. I felt at home. The location was good, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and well cared for. You could see the hosts' thoughtfulness in the details. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and carefully prepared. It helped make the mornings special. This place really added to a perfect vacation. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

The room cleaning felt careless, and even at check-in the bedding looked dirty. That made an unpleasant stay worse. Breakfast was among the worst I've seen: no variety at all, so basic it was embarrassing. A basic breakfast at home has more options. At check-in, the employee gave me no information, not even the breakfast hours, the Wi-Fi details, or any basic guidance. The staff were very rude, and Júlia was both unprepared and cheeky with me. If I'd known how many other pousadas there were in Itacaré, I would never have picked this one. A deeply frustrating experience, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
