Casa Valentine Pousada

My husband and I stayed here in 2022, and I came back in January 2026. The hotel has changed a lot. It felt neglected, and the cleaning could have been better. As soon as I entered the room, there was a urine smell. The pillows were awful, very old, and badly in need of replacement. Breakfast was very weak, with few choices and the same things over and over. The bathroom only had a tiny bar of soap. If you want a shower cap, liquid soap, shampoo, and so on, you need to bring them yourself. I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again. The reservation was under my husband Bernardo Pinto Cruz’s name, and we left today. I have no reason to make up stories or situations. You should collect documents from every guest so you have the details of everyone who stays there. You only asked for my husband’s, which is why you can’t find me in your system. Yes, I reviewed another guesthouse before going to yours. I stayed somewhere else first. Am I not allowed to review more than one place? Is that a new rule? As customers, we have the right and should leave reviews. That way, we help other people looking for a good place to stay, and we give you a chance to improve too.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, and the place was peaceful, pretty, and pleasant. Breakfast was good too, with little treats made fresh to order for guests. Ivete, the Cane Corso dog, was another highlight: affectionate and sweet, and always happy to get a piece of bread. The staff genuinely enjoy looking after people. It’s an excellent choice for a trip to Itacaré.

Casa Valentine is a little way from the center, which makes it even easier to enjoy the peace. I’ll definitely return many times. Val makes a divine, cheerful breakfast, and you have to try her amazing tapioca. The breakfast view looks right over Rio de contas, and you can’t decide whether to eat or just look at the river. Ivete, the dog and mascot, is beautiful and sweet, like a baby, though she doesn’t know her own strength. Nati is very helpful and will assist with just about anything. If you’re looking for a perfect place, this is it, with peace and happy moments with Val.

Terrible! The worst place I’ve ever been in my life. The security was awful, absolutely awful. I don’t recommend it!
