The room has its own toilet and shower, plus air conditioning and a ceiling fan. It costs 50 real per person per night, which feels a bit expensive. An older couple owns the place. They speak Portuguese only, not English or Spanish, so communication can be a little difficult.

Nina looked after us so well, and she's incredibly warm and attentive. The breakfast was tasty and well organized, and even when we got up late she kept topping up whatever had run out. The place is simple, but really cozy. I'll definitely stay here when I come back to Itacaré.

Whenever I can book ahead, I prefer staying with Jack, seu Manoel, and his mother. They're wonderful, and the pousada is right in the center, close to everything. Pousada passarela is one of the oldest and most comfortable, with excellent value for money. My first time in Itacaré was in 2006 and it was wonderful. Since then I've come back at least once a year. I highly recommend it!
