The location is good, close to Pituba, and the room is a decent size with beds, air conditioning, a minibar, and TV. But the stay had several problems. The reception men were polite and helpful, especially Anderson, while the kitchen staff were often very rude and made guests feel like a nuisance. Cleaning was one of the worst parts. Sheets were changed every three days and towels every two, with nowhere suitable to hang them or clothes to dry. Room service meant making the bed and emptying the trash; they didn't sweep or mop, which really affected hygiene, especially during a longer stay. Breakfast was extremely poor. It was just bread, cheese, ham, eggs, sausage, two kinds of cake, sweet potato, chicken or cheese-and-ham pie, coffee, and juice. The cakes and savory pies were burnt every day. Tapioca and omelets had been promised at booking, but during my five nights neither was ever available, with a different excuse each time. The inn needs to improve its cleaning, breakfast, and service to meet guests' expectations.

I stayed over New Year's and found the beds and pillows very comfortable. Everything in the room worked: it had a ceiling fan, air conditioning, minibar, electric shower, and a bidet shower. I liked having the sink outside the bathroom, and the room was cleaned every day. At breakfast there was an option beyond eggs, including chicken tapioca on request. Guests could also get coffee in the afternoon, which I appreciated. The breakfast met basic needs, but was the least appealing I've had at an inn, especially for the 3,500 I paid for 4 nights. The choices barely changed day to day, apart from the juices and one of the two cakes. There were baked empadas and pie, three kinds of bread, scrambled eggs, cassava, hot dog sausage, tapioca couscous, and rotating cake flavors like chocolate, egg, and cinnamon. Drinks included coffee, milk, yogurt, two juices, and chocolate powder. You could ask the kitchen for eggs or tapioca, but the spread still felt repetitive. The kitchen employees seemed very young and possibly recently hired. They laughed loudly and talked about things within guests' earshot. They seemed nice, but it didn't feel professional or appropriate. The pool was tiny, and when I went in during the afternoon it smelled strongly of bleach. Water got up my nose and it was awful, so I only used it once. There was no self-service water dispenser for guests; it was inside the kitchen, so you had to wait for someone to be available to fill a glass or bottle. The minibar had three mineral waters and three Heineken beers for sale. The owner didn't offer guests even a bottle of water, a small courtesy I've received at other inns. Sandra wasn't very warm or friendly; she'd only answer when spoken to, looking down. We also wanted to discuss a friend's reservation: she'd paid 50% but had to cancel. The receptionist first said only Sandra could help and that she was right behind us, then came back pretending she wasn't there and said she hadn't arrived. They gave us no explanation in the end. The breakfast table napkins were extremely thin and barely useful, with only five per table. Some forks, knives, and glasses weren't washed properly. On New Year's, the other inns I've stayed at made some small gesture for guests, but this one did nothing. The previous year in Morro de São Paulo we got champagne and two personalized glasses. Those little touches matter when you travel with expectations and dreams, and can make you want to return and recommend a place. I wouldn't come back or recommend this inn.

The inn was quiet and peaceful, and breakfast had plenty of options. The rooms were tidy, with a ceiling fan, air conditioning, subscription TV that wasn't working, and a large bathroom with a hot shower and dressing area.

Good value for the price. Concha Beach is nearby, and the village walkway is only about 800 meters away.

It’s a quiet, peaceful pousada with lots of trees, around 500 meters from Pituba Street and close to Concha Beach too. My room had a few small things that needed attention, but they were sorted out promptly when I asked. Breakfast was good.
