Hotel Pousada Paraíso

Great.

The location was awful and the service wasn't good either. My room smelled strongly of a place that had been closed up for ages. I was so disgusted that I didn't even try the shower. The bathroom floor was heavily stained, and the walls and chairs were dirty. The mattress was terrible too. Breakfast was almost nonexistent. If you order food through an app, be ready to walk about 150 meters in the dark to the entrance to pick it up.

The view was lovely, and there was a little waterfall. Everything looked very clean, and breakfast was simple but plentiful. I'd stay there again. My room with two single beds was comfortable, though the cleaning was only fair, with quite a few cobwebs because it's surrounded by nature. The river running through the property had an unpleasant smell, and seeing an animal cemetery beside it left me wondering whether that should be allowed so close to the river.

It's a quiet place where you can sleep without being disturbed, and it's close to the mega store Cacau Show. The staff were attentive and helpful. The setting in the middle of what seems like a dangerous residential area made me uneasy, and breakfast was basic and not very good.
