Pousada Delville

Awesome.

We booked this pousada for the November holiday. Everything was arranged over WhatsApp, and they replied quickly, so that part went smoothly. They let you split payment into up to 3 credit card installments. I also paid 145 reais to check in early when I arrived, ahead of the scheduled 14:00 check-in. There were quite a few problems. The room intercom didn't work, and they didn't fix it after I asked, just told us to use WhatsApp. The jacuzzi stairs were broken and stayed that way. The kids' area was only a small children's table, and there was just one shared barbecue. There were lots of bugs around, and at night cockroaches came up through the room drain. The beds couldn't be pushed together because the nightstand was fixed to the wall. Breakfast had very little variety, and the cakes weren't fresh. The TV had no basic channels like SportTV. There weren't enough parking spaces for all the guests, so some people had to park on the low wall or near the deck. The road to the pousada is dirt and turns to mud when it rains. The food menu also had very few options. I expected more and wouldn't recommend it.

The place was clean and pleasant, and the service was excellent. Everything felt just right. I’ll definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our stay, even though the inn is away from the center, so you need a car to get to bars and restaurants. The jacuzzi booking system was a nice idea because it gives every guest a chance to use it instead of letting a few people take it over. The inn itself is cozy and clean, with good facilities and very attentive staff. It’s a nice spot to unwind.
