The kite support was thoughtful all the way through. The team has a hook for holding the bars while setting up lines, so they don’t drag, and they handle the gear carefully. They don’t yank tangled lines or drop sandbags on kites, and they fold the kites neatly without making them too tight. The lush grass in front is kept clear and protected, so there was room to launch and land without waiting. Gear storage is secure, convenient, and included with the stay. We also appreciated how they cared for the stray animals nearby. The service was attentive everywhere. Housekeeping did a thorough job every day while we were at breakfast, and our ocean-view windows stayed spotless. The floors were clean, the towels and linen were perfectly white, and laundry came back the same day, clean and neatly folded. Staff seemed to anticipate what guests might need. The grounds are immaculately maintained. Our room was large and very clean, with a huge closet, comfortable beds, and a big shower with good flow and hot water. Breakfast is a small buffet with all the good stuff, plus fresh smoothie-style juices. The owner cooks made-to-order hot food, and his scrambled eggs and tapiocas were the best we’ve had. Food and drinks are available during the day too, and the coconuts are delicious and very cold. We had an exceptional stay and plan to book here every year.

The beachside kite rigging service really impressed us. The team was courteous, attentive, and genuinely helpful, and the owners clearly take pride in making sure guests have a memorable stay. My husband and I spent seven wonderful days at White Wind Resort. It’s beautifully maintained and has a serene atmosphere, with a stunning lagoon view and a great location for kiting. The service and setting exceeded our expectations. We’ll absolutely return and highly recommend it for a high-quality kiting getaway.

The lagoon is right beside White Wind, with flat water and tides, and the resort is lovely and very clean. We came mainly to kite surf, and the assistants made it easy by getting our gear ready and helping us launch. There’s a downwind route too, which my boyfriend and friend really enjoyed. The owner was attentive and organized everything to help guests have a great stay. I loved the staff and had a very nice experience. I’d definitely stay here again.

While I was kiting, a footstrap came off my board, so I needed to land, fix it with a screwdriver, and launch again. The instructor, beach boy, and owner turned away and didn’t offer help. They said I couldn’t leave my kite on their grass. Luckily, two kind guests stepped in to help me. I felt so uncomfortable that I don’t think I could go back. I asked the owners of my pousada about it, and they said the owners at White Wine are known for being uncivil to everyone except their own guests. In five visits, I’ve never experienced that kind of rudeness in Brazil. Thanks to the Austrian guests for showing me some friendliness.

The staff made a real difference, always attentive and smiling, and ready to help with meals or kiteboarding equipment. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained throughout. White Wind Resort has a pristine feel and is right by the kite lagoon, literally one step from the grounds, so kiteboarders can get on the water at a moment’s notice. It’s a great example of a hotel set up for kiteboarding, and I highly recommend it for a getaway in Ilha do Guajiru.
