Hotel Penedo Inn

The hotel has new facilities and a good location. Breakfast was quite basic, and when an item ran out, nobody replenished it. I booked two rooms for five people. One had bath towels but no face towel, and the other had a pillow without a pillowcase. After the rooms were cleaned the next day, they added a face towel but left out the bath mat. The staff brought the missing things promptly when we asked, but we shouldn't have had to ask. Towels for bathing, the face and the floor, plus sheets with pillowcases, are basic room supplies. Staff should check that everything is there after cleaning.

That view really lifts your spirits, and the whole place was clean, tidy and cozy. We had a wonderful stay, with attentive service and a delicious breakfast. Thanks to the whole team for being so kind. I'll definitely return! ✨🏡🤍

We booked directly with the hotel, but the room listed in our reservation wasn't available when we arrived. The receptionist went off to find a housekeeper and work out another room, which made check-in take a long time. The shower floor was dangerously slippery, and water leaked past the glass screen, soaking the bathroom and bath mat. We complained, but instead of offering another room, they gave us a second bath mat. Early the next morning, housekeepers were shouting to each other in the hallway and dragging furniture around in nearby rooms while guests were trying to rest. Later, we were back in our room after lunch, lying on the bed in our underwear, when someone suddenly tried to come in with a second key and no warning. We shouted, and they went away. Then the intercom rang. The receptionist wanted to send someone to fix the shower screen leak while we were still in the room trying to rest. There were several very uncomfortable failures, some of them unacceptable.

The afternoon and evening receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotless, with new, clean-looking fixtures, walls and bedding, and the bed was comfortable. It's about a 15-minute walk to the center, or roughly three minutes by car. Breakfast was simple but tasty. I didn't use the pool, though it looked clean. The Wi-Fi was the downside. I couldn't even see the hotel's network, so I used my 4G the whole time.
