Penedo Chalé-LOFT

The view is one of a kind, and the place itself is exceptional. Still, the room quality varies a lot depending on which accommodation you choose. The cheaper chalets are very basic and fall short compared with the others. This time, the cleaning was disappointing too. They could be more flexible when sorting out a problem. A guest doesn't always want an upgrade or some kind of perk. Sometimes you just want a quick fix for a door with a broken lock. Because they didn't understand that, I waited two hours for only a partial solution. Even so, it's worth the experience and a great option in Penedo.

All you hear there is birdsong, even though it's relatively close to downtown, at most a 10-15 minute drive. The reception staff were very attentive, and breakfast was just right, with no excess but excellent quality. Our room was huge and well equipped, with a robe, hair dryer, air conditioning, a soft bed, and good sheets. The pool area was excellent and spotless, with crystal-clear water. Don't miss the little zen corner near reception. I loved this place and will definitely come back.

A lovely, pleasant place, with very polite and attentive staff. The rooms are excellent, with a beautiful view and birdsong.

Terrible experience. The price was way out of line for what they offer. In the middle of the night, the air conditioner started making an extremely irritating noise. It also doesn't hold a comfortable temperature: it gets too cold or too warm, and at 20 degrees it doesn't kick in. The filter was clearly long overdue for cleaning. I was going to add a picture so people could see. The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable, and the chalet's facilities were very old. It looked like it hadn't been renovated in a long time. Breakfast was very poor, with only melon and papaya for fruit. It wasn't served as a buffet, so you had to ask for everything to be prepared, and there weren't many choices. There was no mobile network signal, and the Wi-Fi connection was awful. I visited during rainy weather, so I don't know if it's like that in normal weather. The view and contact with nature were the only good parts. The high Google rating doesn't match what I found.
