Pousada Quintal Das Pedras

The owner was lovely, and the room and bedding were clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast was basic but tasty. But the place needs more attention. The toilet seat was cracked enough to hurt someone, and the bathroom sink leaked. My husband slipped on the water from it. The pool was empty and in terrible condition. Breakfast and hospitality aren't enough to make up for the rest, so I can't recommend it.

The service was our favorite part, we loved it. The accommodations are simple but have what you need for a great stay, and the bed and linens were spotless. It was quiet, surrounded by nature, very close to the waterfalls, and excellent value for the price. Breakfast was good too. It's up in Alto Penedo, but Uber and iFood go there easily, and there's a bus stop right outside that makes getting to the center easier. We loved it!

The outdoor area is pretty and well kept, and it's a very quiet place, about 10 minutes by car from Centro de Penedo and close to Cachoeira de Deus. The hosts are polite and helpful. Rooms and towels were clean, and breakfast was plentiful. Everything is simple, and a few things could use more attention, like the window locks, showers, toilet flushes, and seats. The pool is tiny, the TVs are awful, and there’s no air conditioning or ceiling fan. If you want simple, pleasant lodging, it's satisfactory.

The owners really make an effort to look after their guests, even calling people by name, and I had a very pleasant stay. The place is spacious, has parking, and the chalets and fresh smelling linens were clean. Breakfast was generous, the price was very accessible, and the setting is lovely and close enough to walk to Cachoeira de Deus. It compares well with other pousadas and is well worth it.
