The location was the dealbreaker for me. It’s too far from everything for my taste, though it could work if you’re fine driving to tourist sites. The hotel itself was nice enough, with friendly staff, clean rooms, plenty of parking and 24-hour security. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub because it was cold, but both looked well kept, as did the small indoor play area for children around 3-8. The room had a few issues. The furniture and bedding seemed dated, my mattress was much too soft for my preference, and the bathroom tap leaked, though that didn’t bother us. The shower water gets scalding hot, so be careful if you’re not used to that. Breakfast was adequate and complimentary, but some ingredients seemed budget quality, so I wasn’t impressed. I wouldn’t book here again because of the location.

After a 20-hour trip I was exhausted, and my room smelled moldy. The Internet also wasn’t working. An employee said the technical team was trying to fix it, but by the next morning it still didn’t work. Since I needed Internet for work, I had to find another hotel. There, when my computer wouldn’t connect, the staff got a technician to sort it out quickly. The response was completely different from what I experienced at the Gandini. I hope they resolve these problems, but I can’t recommend this hotel.

The pool was fun, and breakfast had a good amount of choice. The staff deserve 5 stars: they were friendly, helpful, and did their best to assist us in English. The room was just mediocre. The walls and windows are so thin you hear everything, from a neighbor snoring to people being loud at the pool. Earplugs would sort that out. The room was otherwise okay, and the bedding was clean, but there was only one blanket and the mattress showed through it. We were here while working at Tomorrowland Brasil. All in all, an okay stay in Brazil.
