OYO Hotel Rio Sul

Awful place. You have to climb three flights of stairs to reach the least bad rooms. The rooms aren't cleaned, and the air conditioning doesn't work. Breakfast is just one pot of coffee, and once it's gone, they don't make any more. It's ridiculous, especially since the price is so high. I even told the owner they'd make more money turning it into a brothel or a place for people to come and go, like in Belo Horizonte. What a mess.

There was a flying cockroach in the room, on top of all the other problems. They don't clean the rooms, the toilet lid and shower door were broken, and the shower enclosure walls were dirty. The bed felt like a plank and creaked more than the floorboards in an old house. It was unbearable, not even worth it for free!!!

The location is excellent, close to everything you need, and the bed is good. But the hotel is old and gives the impression that maintenance is lacking. The condition of the facilities brings down the experience.

The current owner is a really good guy and always helpful. The previous owner left a lot to be desired, but the place has improved a lot under the current one. At this rate, it could be a four-star hotel before long. The cleanliness is pretty decent, breakfast is great, and having its own parking lot is a big plus. Nothing to complain about.
