Great!

The location is great, and you can do everything on foot. But the noise from cleaning started before 8 a.m. every day. It was unbelievably loud. I wanted to rest and couldn’t manage it any day. At first I even thought the noise was coming from somewhere else. I’ve never heard so much racket just from tidying up. You can’t rest, you have to leave the hotel. Breakfast was awful on the first day: stale bread, and not even a machine to warm it. The woman who works in the kitchen wasn’t there. I assume it was because there were few guests, but that’s no excuse since I paid for every day. The next day felt like a different hotel. Breakfast was quite tasty, the kitchen woman was there, and there were lots of guests. If you go on a day when there aren’t many guests, you may be disappointed.

The rooms are spacious, the shower gets properly hot, and the cleaning deserves credit. The hotel is about 2 km from the central square. One morning we waited over 20 minutes for breakfast and not a single pão de queijo appeared. The cheeses they serve are the same kind you can buy at the market, nothing like colonial or canastra cheese. The reception staff also spent much of the time with headphones on.

The breakfast is good, but if you show up at 7 it won't be ready because the woman preparing it doesn't finish in time. The rooms are okay, though the balcony rooms don't have much of a view, so I don't think they're worth it. There was a lot of noise in front of the inn and we had trouble sleeping. The bathroom is cramped, and its fan doesn't work, leaving everything damp. Service needs work: of the three people there, only one treated us well. The women in the kitchen and cleaning barely spoke to us or even said hello. The price isn't high, but the service could be better.
