Once, I only managed to book a room because a friend had the cell number of one of the hotel employees. I’ve never been able to reach VERANEIO CIPÓ HOTEL by phone myself, no matter how many times I call. This has been going on for ages. Getting in touch is a complete mess, as if they’re still living in the Stone Age.

The staff are really friendly and make you feel comfortable, and I liked the place a lot. I’m taking off a star because the pool water had too much chlorine. I also saw the staff cleaning it without much care, and I think that job should be done by specialists.

It’s close to the center, where there are shops that make for a nice evening out, so I’d recommend it. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service is great, and the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. We did have a booking problem, but they sorted it out professionally.

They canceled our booking just hours before check-in and gave us no explanation or alternative, only a refund. They clearly didn’t care that this disrupted all our weekend plans. Completely disrespectful.

I’ve been there and didn’t like it for several reasons I won’t go into. I won’t return unless I know they’ve made a radical change in how they treat guests.
