Hotel Rios

Great!

I only needed a room for a few hours between buses, and Hotel Rios found one for me even though the city was hosting an event. They gave me a special rate and held the reservation until I arrived. The staff were also kind enough to call a taxi and explain everything I needed to know. Thanks to everyone at Hotel Rios for the care and quick service. It’s a simple hotel, so I wasn’t expecting luxury. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the air conditioning was fine. In Jaguarão, TIM or Antel cell service doesn’t work. The rooms and bathrooms could use a refresh, but I’ll come back because of how well I was looked after.

The room was spacious enough for our whole family, which was the option we had, and we were happy with that part. But one air conditioner wasn’t enough for a room that size. The shower stall in the bathroom was incredibly cramped, and at breakfast they ran out of coffee while more guests were still coming in. Very poor value for money. As of 27/12/2025, this is the worst stay I’ve had at a hotel or pousada. My family has stayed in many places across several Brazilian states.

They treated me well, and I liked the service. Still, they required payment up front, which isn’t something you see that often. It’s expensive for what you get, and breakfast was sparse. Even the coffee tasted like it had more water than coffee. I’ve paid less elsewhere and gotten more comfort.
