Pé na Areia Boutique Hotel

The food was unforgettable. We had the best white fish and octopus ceviche we've ever tried, along with a memorable baião de dois made with so much care. And the infinity pool was the prettiest we've ever seen, like a postcard. Pé na Areia Boutique Hotel has a rare sense of luxury and exclusivity while still feeling welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, with comfortable king-size beds, a whirlpool bath, soft white linens, and mattresses and pillows that feel like a hug. From the start, owners Roberta and Daniel welcomed us so warmly that we felt like friends, not just guests. That personal touch set the tone for our whole stay. The service was wonderful. Special thanks to Vivi, Marcio, Vânia, and everyone in the kitchen and room service. Their care and love show in every detail. We left with full hearts and are sure we'll be back next year. We came for our honeymoon with very high expectations, and they were exceeded. Daniel and Roberta are such lovely people, as is the whole staff. We had great chats with Vivi, Vânia, and Márcio, who greeted us every day with smiles and care. The food, amenities, sunset, and pool were all perfect. It was a truly restful break in an impeccable place. We highly recommend it!

The food alone was memorable, especially the carne de sol bites and crab croquettes, and the whole stay was backed by flawless service. The rooms are a delight, the pool is lovely, and the peace here feels special. From booking through the emails and WhatsApp messages before, during, and after the visit, Mr. Daniel and his wife Roberta were impeccable. Anyone giving this less than the five stars it deserves is wrong, and I can prove it. I'd give it six if I could. Your vacation really ought to include this pousada.

The rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable, and the food was very well made by excellent cooks. The staff were helpful and well trained, especially Marcio. But the pousada seemed to lack general upkeep. The outside walls were peeling, the pool tiles were dirty, and the grass was overgrown, with no clear path or lighting to stop guests walking on wet grass. A friend's room had a door that wouldn't close fully, leaving a gap, so mosquitoes got in every day. On the last day, they found two coral snakes, which gave everyone a fright. Since the pousada is next to a protected forest, it should take steps to prevent incidents with venomous animals. The owners were there only for the final two days and didn't address these problems as I would expect from a boutique pousada.
