The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were great. A nice place to stay.

A fantastic place, just amazing.

Tonho, the cook, deserves a mention for the care he put into making our meals special. The few staff members who were there were also very helpful and ready to assist. With some changes to the management, this refuge could be even better. There were downsides during our stay. The inn is for sale, and it seemed to affect how things were run. There weren’t many staff around, and no room cleaning was provided. I had to sweep, change the towels and replace the bath mats myself. We also went four days without hot water. It wasn’t too bad on warm days, but the water was a problem when it rained. Still, the place’s beauty made up for some of these hassles. The sea view is unforgettable, especially from the infinity pool and the sea-facing rooms, where we found some rare peace and connection with nature. Pousada do Alto really is a special place.

The view is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen in Northeast Brazil, and you can see the sea from every part of the inn. The facilities are excellent too, but the thoughtful staff and amazing food are what really stand out. Walter, Carlito, Calinda, Rosa and Nina were all so kind and attentive, and they found a way to handle every request. Strongly recommend it. Excellent value for money, and a lovely spot for couples.
