Hostel Caiçara Maresias

The location is great, almost right on Maresias beach, with shops nearby. We were welcomed and treated well by all the polite, attentive staff, and the place has a simple, cheerful energy. I was there for my birthday, and breakfast was complete every day. It could take a while to arrive, sometimes because only one person was preparing and serving for everyone, but he was very polite and clearly wanted to do a good job. Since it's a hostel, things are simple and natural, but I think guests could have a bit more comfort. The bed could be newer, the bedding could smell fresher, and the curtains and curtain rods could be updated. The air conditioner remote didn't work, so we had to climb up to the unit to turn it on. One night, heavy rain and wind made the poorly sealed windows bang and let a lot of wind into the room, which was difficult with a baby there. Our room also faced the reception and guest passageway, so there was a lot of talking and noise.
