Pousada Brisa de Jeri

The rooms have air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a smart TV, but the inn is very noisy. If you like sleeping late, it’s awful. Breakfast was genuinely poor, even by my not-particularly-picky standards. It’s also a bit far from everything: expect to walk about 2 km to the beach or Jericoacoara’s main spots, keeping in mind that every street is sandy.

The inn is near the entrance to the village, far from the center. There’s no reception, and the breakfast room is too small for all the guests. If you arrive a little after 8 a.m., the fruit is gone and they don’t bring out more. The shower wouldn’t heat up and was replaced twice after we complained. They don’t provide blankets, either; you have to pay to use one. I don’t recommend it and won’t return.

I’d been discouraged by the negative reviews since I’d already booked Brisa de jeri, but when we arrived, I didn’t understand what those comments were about. It’s a really cozy place, with very polite staff and a simple but tasty breakfast. It’s a bit far from the center, but that didn’t disrupt our routine at all. I’ll keep coming back to this inn 🥰

We didn’t stay at the inn at first. We were placed somewhere else, and after a few days the water ran out there. That’s when we were moved to Brisa de Jeri, into a noisy room with a curtain that was already falling when I walked in. The inn’s reply is a lie: I did not step on the curtain. Toca da Coruja had water; we spent three days there before the transfer. I was treated horribly. On the first day, D.Dina said I wouldn’t be able to go to pedra furada or do anything else in town, implying I was old and only my “strong” son could manage it. I felt humiliated, but I didn’t let her ruin my trip. Many other things happened at those places, but I’d rather not go into them. This is my word, and I have faith in God and the universe that the truth will prevail. I hope they improve how they treat people, along with their dignity and honesty, and prosper.
