We had a great few days here. The room was really good, with a spacious bathroom, an adjustable shower, good air conditioning, and a big bed. Breakfast was generous, with a full buffet and things you could order from the menu. The pousada is in a great location, and the reception staff were friendly and easygoing.

We paid R$ 1.800,00 for four nights, but after leaving because of the problems, we got back only R$ 730,00. It was a case of something cheap ending up very expensive. We stayed in room 201, right across from the pousada's entrance balcony. The room was extremely small for four people, me, my wife, and our two children. The toilet seat was broken, and the old wooden windows had no sound insulation, so sleeping was impossible. Traffic noise from motorcycles, quad bikes, and other vehicles went on through the night and early morning, sounding as if it were inside the room. There were also chairs and armchairs on the second-floor balcony directly below our window. Guests came back from town with drinks and kept socializing there in the early hours. We only got some quiet around 4am, and then at 6am the noise started again, with traffic and guests watching videos on their phones at full volume beneath our window. The shower temperature couldn't be adjusted and was stuck at its hottest setting in the middle of summer. We had to call reception so the person in charge could turn off the shower's circuit breaker, which was completely unacceptable. When we complained, reception said other guests had reported the same issue and the owner knew, but there was nothing they could do. We had no choice but to leave.

The attendants were helpful and polite, but this was a very disappointing stay. We weren't told that getting to the village in Jericoacoara requires a 4x4, that the village is all sand, or that it isn't suitable for babies. I was traveling with a six-month-old baby and a 68-year-old woman. Our booking had been made in January, and we'd told them about the baby and older guest. Still, they put us in a room with a steep staircase. I asked for rooms downstairs, but was told none were available. The upstairs rooms, at least, have no windows. You can't buy water, a soft drink, or anything else there. Breakfast was very limited, with hardly any variety. There were no blankets, just a bed runner to cover ourselves with, despite the room bookings being for two adults and for one adult with a child. The town is very hot, and the room had no window, so we ran the air conditioning on cold and then felt chilly in the middle of the night. I wouldn't recommend it. They lacked empathy for a family with a baby and didn't give customers clear information.

I loved my stay and would definitely come back. The location was great if you want some peace and quiet: it's near the center, but you don't hear the bustle. The pousada was cozy, and the staff were extremely polite and attentive. The facilities are simple, but very clean and tidy, and the air conditioning and minibar worked perfectly. Breakfast was wonderful. There wasn't a huge range, but everything was fresh and tasty, including the cakes, fruit, and fresh juices. The tapioca and cuscuz made to order were my favorite part.

The breakfast was basic, and the walk to the main street took five minutes. Our room faced the street, though, and all the buggy, motorcycle, car, and people noise made it impossible to sleep. The sheets and towels were old, the pillows were very worn, and the bathroom had mildew. We asked for daily room cleaning, but it wasn't done.
